This intricate handwoven trivet is made in Bolgatanga, the northern part of Ghana by skilled artisans. It is made with coiled sisal fibers that are wrapped in organically dyed sweetgrass fibers. All fibers are naturally sourced in Ghana.

These baskets carry a special symbolism in Ghana: friends give them to one another to celebrate life milestones and they are proudly displayed as a reflection of abundance in friendship, family and life.

All baskets are ethically sourced and fair trade. Each purchase empowers women weavers in the northern part of Ghana giving them independence and a stable, improved standard of living.
